Rainbow Spun is a spun bound non-woven fabric made by the same company that manufactures Pellon products.

It is well suited as an art medium. It's lightweight and delicate, yet very strong. The open structure of Lutradur creates a fiberglass-like fabric but with greater flexibility and none of the toxicity associated with fiberglass.

Lutradur allows paint, ink, and other materials to interact with a surface that filters light, yet has body and retains its shape. Due to the random structure of the spun bond fibers, you can create interesting surface textures. Lutradur can be heat set at 300 degrees F, takes heat transfers, can be sewn, and does not fray or ravel. It can be laminated and lends itself as a sculptural medium due to the simplicity of its structure, color, and presentation.
