Catherine's Place has a special product that is very similar to Fast2Fuse without the heavy price tag!

I have been searching for a product that was a double sided fusible stiffner, and I have found it!  Quick 2 Fuse is 51cm wide and sold by the metre.

Excellent for use in making such items as fabric postcards, fabric bowls, boxes, handbags, hat brims and anything that requires an extra firm stability.

  Decorative fabrics, cotton, chenille etc.

Method of use:  

First iron the fabrics at length with steam to avoid any shrinkage later. Allow the fabrics to dry completely. Place the interfacing with the coated side on the wrong side of the fabric. Then cover with a damp cloth and glide the iron over each area and press for about 15 seconds, without letting the iron move.

Iron Setting: wool/cotton.
Power steam iron : 150°C. Slowly glide the iron with pressure and sporadic steam over each area.
Allow the pieces to cool flat for about 30 minutes, so that the adhesive can set properly.

We strongly recommend that you attach a small piece of interfacing to a fabric remnant with your iron first to make sure that the hold and the adhesion meet your expectations.  
 
Care:  
Wash flat in temperatures up to 40 °C in the gentle cycle or roll in a laundry bag.  Dry cleanable.
