A booklet of 16 "Turnover" recipes from Fig Tree & Co. by Joanna Figueroa.
This is a lovely booklet with well laid out quilt "recipes". Each project has a materials list and information on fabric choices. There are cutting, piecing & assembly instructions also which are easy to understand & infomative. I really like the way Joanne Figueroa sets out her books with coloured diagrams and good instructions. She gives you ideas for fabrics to use other than the current line she has out. This booklet is also very good to use if you have bought her Patisserie line of fabric!

This book celebrates the relationship between poetry and quilting that quilters have long known exists. The quilt blocks in Quilting A Poem are interpretations of some of America's favorite poems. Poems you'll recognize from when your grandmother recited them to you at bedtime, or when you were introduced to them in your highschool and college literature class. Poems you've never forgotten.
Award-winning designers, Frances Kite and Debra Rowden have created 16 unforgettable new quilt blocks that you can re-create in your own fabrics to honor the work of America's great poets.
This is Edie McGinnis's sixth book about Kansas City Star Patterns. 14 out of 20 of the blocks were first published in the Kansas City Star newspaper. Each pattern has full-sized templates for cutting your pieces (no rotary cutting directions). The template method is great for those who piece by hand, and are also good for cutting odd shapes.
In the first few pages of the book is an explanation of the sinking of the steamship Arabia in the Missouri River in 1856,and the eventual discovery of it in a cornfield (1987). Then, throughout the book are pictures of objects found on the Arabia, and short stories relating to the objects.
This book is full of history, both in things found about the Arabia and about the quilting patterns. The directions are complete and well-organized, plus the illustrations of steps in the assembly of the blocks are very clear.
Readers will enjoy the detailed instruction and beautiful layout of Outside the Box : Hexagon Patterns from The Kansas City Star, the third in our series from Star Quilts.
We've gathered 20 great quilt patterns from The Kansas City Star's historic collection. But these aren't your typical square quilt blocks. Instead, each has been redrafted to make a 9-inch hexagon. All of the patterns fit together to make a sampler quilt - or a lovely quilt can be made by repeating a single block.
